Meet Bella
EnneaCat Type Two:
The Helper
Be generous. Be loving. Be supportive.
Bella has a big heart and a natural ability to notice what other people need.
She loves encouraging others, making people feel special, remembering the little things, offering support, and finding ways to brighten someone’s day.
Helping comes naturally to Bella.
Sometimes, though, her desire to love and support others can become so strong that she forgets to ask an equally important question:
“What do I need?”
Recognize Me:
When Bella is hurting, stressed, or caught in her patterns, she can become overly helpful, intrusive, disappointed, or focused on being needed.
She may offer help before anyone asks for it.
She might say yes when she really wants to say no.
She may give and give — then quietly feel hurt when other people don’t notice how much she has done.
Bella can become so focused on everyone else’s feelings, problems, schedules, and needs that she loses touch with her own.
Sometimes she may even help when helping isn’t actually helpful.
Bella might be thinking:
“You need help? I’m on it!”
“If I can make things better for you, you’ll know how much I care.”
“Why don’t they need me?”
“After everything I’ve done, don’t I matter too?”
Her heart wants connection.
But when Bella believes she has to earn love through helping, giving can slowly turn into exhaustion, disappointment, or resentment.
What Bella wishes people understood is that most of her helping begins with a very sincere intention:
She wants people to feel loved.
Bella naturally notices emotions, relationships, and the little clues that tell her someone may need encouragement or support.
Her attention often moves toward other people first:
Are they okay?
Do they need something?
How can I help?
How can I make them feel better?
Emotionally, Bella feels deeply connected to the people she loves. Being appreciated and included matters to her because relationships matter so much.
Behaviorally, she may encourage, nurture, give, check in, anticipate needs, offer advice, bring gifts, or simply stay close.
What can sometimes feel intrusive or “too helpful” from the outside may actually be Bella saying:
“You matter to me.”
But Bella is learning that caring about someone doesn’t mean knowing what is best for them.
And loving someone doesn’t require doing everything for them.
Understand Me:
Grow with Me:
Bella’s growth isn’t about becoming less loving.
It’s about learning to love from a full heart instead of an empty one.
She is discovering that she doesn’t have to be needed in order to matter.
She doesn’t have to earn love by being useful.
And she doesn’t have to ignore her own needs in order to be a good person.
As Bella becomes healthier, she begins to pause before automatically jumping in.
Instead of immediately asking:
“How can I help?”
she may first ask:
“Did they ask for help?”
“Would helping empower them — or keep them from doing something they can do for themselves?”
“What do I need right now?”
Bella begins moving from enabling to empowerment.
She learns to give freely without keeping an invisible scorecard.
She becomes more comfortable setting boundaries, receiving care, asking for what she needs, and trusting that the people who love her will still love her when she isn’t doing anything for them.
Her deeper lesson becomes:
“I am lovable simply because I am me.”
HOW YOU CAN HELP BELLA GROW
Bella needs to know that her value isn’t measured by how useful she is.
Appreciate her generosity — but also show interest in Bella herself, not just everything she does for everyone else.
Ask her:
“What do you need?”
And give her enough space to actually figure out the answer.
Remind her:
“You don’t have to take care of this.”
“It’s okay to say no.”
“I love being with you even when you aren’t doing anything for me.”
“You can let me help you too.”
And when Bella wants to rush in and rescue someone, gently encourage her to ask before helping.
Sometimes the most loving thing Bella can do is stand beside someone and say:
“I believe you can do this.”
That is still love.
WHAT BELLA BRINGS TO THE WORLD
Bella helps people feel seen.
She notices when someone is sitting alone.
She remembers birthdays.
She senses when someone needs encouragement.
She celebrates other people’s successes and often sees potential in them before they see it themselves.
Bella brings warmth, compassion, generosity, encouragement, affection, and connection wherever she goes.
At her healthiest, Bella’s love doesn’t rescue or overwhelm.
It empowers.
She reminds us that kindness matters.
That relationships deserve our attention.
That small acts can make a big difference.
And that sometimes the simplest words can change someone’s entire day:
“You matter to me.”
Bella’s gift isn’t being needed by everyone.
Her gift is helping create a world where people feel loved, encouraged, and less alone. 💗
Sometimes the easiest way to understand a personality is to see it in action…
